The 10KM trail follows sidewalks through shopping areas and residential neighborhoods, historic Herndon, and on the &OD trail. There is a shorter 5KM alternative available. |

| Stipulations: | Pets must be under control at all times and must be picked up after. Pets are not allowed in the start point. Restrooms, water, and food will be available in the stores and restaurants along the trail. |

From the east from the Capital Beltway via VA-267(Dulles Toll Road): Use Exit 45A if driving from the north or Exit 45 if driving from the south on I-495 to head west on VA-267 (Dulles Toll Road). Keep in the right lanes (avoiding the left lanes that force you to go all the way to Dulles airport). Drive west for 8.7 miles to Exit 11 (VA-7100-Fairfax County Parkway). Take Exit 11 and turn right at the end of the ramp to drive north on the Fairfax County Parkway. Drive north for 0.8 miles to the exit for VA-606 (Elden Street). Take the exit and turn left at the end of the ramp to drive west on Elden St for almost 1.0 miles. Proceed through the fourth traffic light. The Holiday Inn Express will be on your left next to the Safeway store. From the west via VA-267 (Dulles Toll Road): Drive east on VA-267 (Dulles Toll Road) to Exit 11 (VA-7100/Fairfax County Parkway). Turn left at the end of the ramp to drive north on Fairfax County Parkway. Drive north for 0.8 miles to the exit for VA-606 (Elden Street). Take the exit and turn left at the end of the ramp to drive west on Elden St for almost 1.0 miles. Proceed through the fourth traffic light. The Holiday Inn Express will be on your left next to the Safeway store. |
