Round Walk
South Run Park contains one of Fairfax County's largest dog parks. Your dog, under adult supervison, can run and play without a leash. Plan to stay for a few minutes after you walk to let your dog socialize.

| Start Times: | Monday 7am to 9pm; Saturday 7am to 6pm; Sunday 8am to 8pm. Walk only during daylight hours. Call ahead on holidays and during inclement weather to make sure that the start point is open. |
| Distances/Trails: | The 10km trail is an out-and-back trail that follows somewhat hilly but mostly shaded paved paths. The trail passes through the woods along small streams and goes three-quarters of the way around Lake Mercer before returning to the start/finish point. The trail is rated 2 and is a pretty walk in the woods, especially during the spring and fall. Strollers can be used with moderate difficulty. Wheelchairs will find greater difficulty in moving. A shorter 5KM alternative trail is also available. |

| Fees: | The IVV fee only is $3. |
| Stipulations: | Pets must be under control at all times and must be picked up after. Pets are not allowed in the start point. Restrooms and water are available only at the start point. |

| Directions: |
From I-66: Take Exit 55 (Fairfax County Pkwy/VA-7100). Drive south on VA-7100 toward Fairfax for about 10 miles until you reach a traffic signal with Reservation Rd to the left and South Run RECenter to the right. Note: this will be soon after the high-tension electric lines. Turn right to follow the road into the park. Park in the lot in front of the RECenter. From I-495: Take Exit 54A (Braddock Rd West) and drive on Braddock Rd for about 1.4 miles to the traffic signal at Burke Lake Rd. Turn left to drive in Burke Lake Rd for about 3.6 miles to the traffic signal at the Fairfax County Pkwy (VA-7100). Turn left to drive on VA-7100 for 2 miles until you reach a traffic signal with Reservation Rd to the left and South Run RECenter to the right. Turn right to follow the road into the park. Park in the lot in front of the RECenter. |
