We decided to do the volksmarch in Boulder, CO. The start was at the Village Inn. The trail was along the Boulder River

where we passed numerous people tubing and dogs playing in the water.

It then went into the campus of the University of Colorado at Boulder. My difficulty in telling left from right caused us to go in the wrong direction for several blocks. Since we were already running late, we proceeded directly back to the start.
We were supposed to pick up Jayme at noon and picked her up at 1 pm. A quick lunch at Subway and we were off!
Wyoming is very similar to Kansas, being flat for most of the ride to Rawlins. We could see hills and mountains in the distance, though. At one point, we passed a wind farm. Emilie is going to send me her picture of the wind farm for this page, since my digital pictures were not acceptable. I was having trouble with seeing the image on the screen of my digital camera.
Jayme spent about an hour in the motel pool, backstroking, butterflying, cannonballing, etc.

Jayme who is only 9 suffers from homesickness; she hoped that this trip would cure it. Unfortunately, it only made it worse.
